Your way to us
AO-SF
If you would like your child to be taught at a special education school with a focus on language, you as the legal guardian submit an application to the responsible primary school for a determination of special educational support needs (AO-SF), which is then approved by two teachers (each from the relevant primary school and special school) is examined.
As part of this procedure, a medical examination may also take place at the health department. The teachers will inform you in detail about the results of the review and advise you on your choice of school.
Based on the review, the school authority determines the need for special educational support if necessary and suggests suitable locations. Your wishes and beliefs as parents are of particular importance in this process.
Information evening
If you would like to get to know our school, our special education approach and special support opportunities personally, we would be happy to speak to you.
Or take part in our annual information evening. Here you have the opportunity to explore our facility, get to know teachers and clarify any questions you may have.
Our information evening takes place every year in the week before the autumn holidays (Tuesdays or Wednesdays).
The NW regional association of parents and supporters of speech-impaired children and young people has published a guide for affected legal guardians. Feel free to take a look at it.
